Call Bank Thurs. 10-3 6:30 pm for Tony Hwang/Chris Peritore-in Easton

Please join us for wine and cheese while making Get Out the Vote calls for Republicans Senator Tony Hwang and State Rep. candidate Chris Peritore this Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at the home of Dana Benson, 34 Pond Rd., Easton, CT. It’s a chance to hang out with like-minded people and support your Republican candidates.

Tony Hwang’s campaign manager, George Vatis, will lead the effort and supply the call lists. Signs for all Republican candidates will be available. All you have to do is show up, enjoy the snacks and drinks left over from my party this past Sunday, and bring your cell phone.

Tony has been a steadfast representative of the 28th Senatorial District (Easton, Fairfield, Bethel, and Newtown) in the State Legislature since 2008. As the second highest-ranking Republican in the Senate, he faces a formidable opponent this year. The State Democratic Machine has strategically deployed a career political operative, Rob Blanchard, to run against him.

Blanchard is thirty-two years old and currently serves as the Chief of Staff in the State Controller’s Office. He previously worked as a staffer for Governor Lamont and in various Democratic congressional campaigns.

Hwang has stood up for Easton against Hartford’s encroachments, fought to keep zoning local, and repeatedly sponsored legislation to exempt water–producing towns like Easton from State high-density housing mandates that we cannot meet and should not meet since they threaten Southern CT’s water supply.

The Democrats used to be the party of the environment. They have become the party of Development. Tony and Peritore stand for protecting the environment.

Chris Peritore grew up in Easton and attended Barlow, where he played hockey. He has worked for Hwang in Hartford and is now challenging far-left radical Democrat Anne Hughes to represent Easton, Weston, and Redding in Hartford.

He is as moderate as Hughes is radical. He believes that the people who live in our towns, not Hartford officials, know what is best for them. Hughes has never met a Hartford program for social change she does not embrace.

It is time for a moderate with commonsense like Peritore to represent us. He will resist the regionalization schemes that Hughes champions, along with her far-left social agenda.

Peritore will push for tax credits and low-interest loans to make vocational training at trade schools like Bullard Havens more affordable if elected. He thinks CT must pursue pro-business policies and prepare the next generation through vocational training to regain its edge in manufacturing and bring jobs back to the state.
